The Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) is established as the successor to the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) under the Energy Act, 2019 as Kenya's Energy and Petroleum sector regulatory agency with the responsibility for economic and technical regulation of electricity, renewable energy, petroleum and coal. Additionally, the authority is tasked with implementing the Petroleum Act (2019).
